Travelling by Car this Christmas?

The snow is back and Canterbury, along with the rest of Britain, has been thrown into travel chaos. Can your car make it through? With stories of breakdowns and crashes becoming a seemingly inevitable part of winter, why not get your car kitted out and up to scratch?

Check out our vouchers section for offers from County Garage Sales Ltd and Unit 5 Motorcare.

Kent County Council ensures that there are sufficient salt supplies to account for prolonged periods of severe weather conditions over the winter period. All A and B roads are included in salting routes, as well as known danger spots. Salting routes cover around 30% of Kent’s roads.

Kent County Council advise keeping a warm blanket and clothes in the car and taking a fully charged mobile phone with you on your journey. Avoid sudden braking (a friend of mine had to fish an Alfa Romeo out of a ditch this morning) and clear your car of snow (including lights and indicators) before setting off.

If you’re travelling far this Christmas, best of luck and have a safe journey!
