Mock wedding event

EXCITEMENT of the royal wedding caught the imagination of pupils at St Edmund’s Pre-Prep School in Canterbury.
Children proudly wore handmade hats and threw confetti over their own William and Kate.
Reception class teacher, Amanda Johnson, was inspired to stage the mock ceremony and pupils helped to make the life-size models and dressed them in original clothes from 1950s. Pupils designed invitations, studied historical facts and made a four-tier wedding cake.
Head of Pre-Prep Mrs Frampton-Fell said: “We taught the children so much while having a lot of fun.”
