Where to celebrate Guy Fawkes's night in Canterbury - Bonfires and Fireworks, November 2011

Remember remember the 5th of November is a Saturday this year, so catching fireworks on Bonfire Night in Canterbury will be easier than ever.

Bonfire night at Quex Park, 2010 - 2011 promises to be even better in the Canterbury area!
Here's our guide to what's happening in the area...sparklers at the ready Guys (get it, Guys?):
Tyler Hill
Boasting the biggest bonfire and fireworks in Kent, the village of href="http://tylerhillbonfire.co.uk/default.aspx">Tyler Hill swells on Guy Fawkes's night.
The festivities take place at Tyler Hill Recreational Ground (Summer Lane, Tyler Hill, Canterbury,CT2 9NE) and there's free parking at the nearby University.
There will be a funfair and food on site, but it's not a licensed event, so you might want to pack a hip flask if you'd like a drink of the alcoholic variety.
Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire is lit at 7pm and the fireworks take place at 8pm.
Advance tickets can be bought from the following places and cost £5 per adult and £2 per child:

Meadow Grange Nursery
Londis at Longport and St Martin's Hill
Hales Place Post Office
Alternatively, you can buy tickets at the gate for £7 per adult and £3 per child.
Kent County Cricket Club
This year's href="http://www.kentcricket.co.uk/2011-season/fixtures/fireworks-extravaganza">Fireworks Extravaganza at Kent County Cricket Club actually takes places on Friday 4th November, from 6pm to 9.30pm.
There will be entertainment from 6.30pm including The ABBA Girls and Da Vinci Dance Troop, plus the annual Fancy Dress Competition will take place at 7.00pm, before fireworks at 8.20pm
Tickets are priced at £6 in advance, £8 on the night for adults and £3 in advance, £4 on the night for children.
Family Ticket (2 adults, 2 juniors) £15 in advance, £20 on the night
Bridge Village Fireworks
The village of href="http://www.bridgevillage.org.uk/">Bridge's celebration takes places on Saturday 5th November at Church Meadow from 5.30pm (bonfire lit at 6pm depending on weather).
There will be fireworks, a bonfire and a selection of hot food and refreshments.
Tickets are £12 for a family of two adults and two children. Adults £5 each; Children £2.50 each.
Available in advance from the school office and local outlets.
Wickhambreaux
href="http://www.mountephraimgardens.co.uk/events/events.aspx">The Rose Inn at Wickhambreaux will be holding its free annual fireworks display at around 8pm on Saturday November 5th.
There will be a BBQ starting at 6.00pm and full bar including 3 real ales, also hot mulled wine will be available outside.
