The festival, held in Christchurch University's St Augustine's Hall, attracted over a thousand people to enjoy talks, screenings and workshops.
There were guest speakers who worked on massive hits, such as Harry Potter and Creature Comforts, who brought along characters and showed behind the scenes clips.
Phil Jupitus also treated the audience to an evening of his favourite cartoons.
Young people from Kent schools had produced short animations for the festival and awards were presented to the winners of the Anifest Youth competition.
Dan Richards, Festival Director said: 'It was a fantastic weekend with speakers, volunteers and the audience all enjoying animation at its best. Anifest is about giving everyone an insight into animation, to inspire them to be creative and to follow their passion for art. From the feedback, we seem to have achieved just that."
