There's a lot of focus on the turkey at Christmas dinner - but it's important to make sure the veg is tasty too.

So we asked the experts at Dumbrells green grocers in the Kings Mile what we should be cooking this year and how we should be cooking it.

Keep it local

Tasty local baby carrots are so sweet at the moment it will taste like you've added sugar to them even though you don't need to.

Just simply steam and serve.

Keep it fresh

You can buy brussel sprouts now that wil keep on the stem until the big day and beyond.

Just cut them from the stem when you need them and cook stir into a pan of cooked bacon bits after steaming.

Keep it sweet

For Christmas dinner you have to have parsnips.

Simply roast them with some honey to bring out their sweetness.
