Body found in Canterbury pond

Kent Police have confirmed the body of a man has been recovered from a pond in Canterbury.

They joined emergency services in dealing with the incident at Reed Pond, near Tennyson Avenue, following reports that a body had been seen in the water at around noon today, Monday 30 January 2012.  

At this time police are treating the death as suspicious and an investigation is underway to establish the cause of death and to identify the body.
