One of Canterbury's most famous residents, Bagpuss, will be back this Christmas to star in The Gulbenkian's festive programme.

Everyone's favourite stripey cat will be taking the title role in the Birmingham Stage Company production, which will run from Tuesday 6th - Tuesday 20th December.

Featuring the much loved characters Emily, the mice and their mouse organ, Gabriel the toad, Madeleine the rag doll and Professor Yaffle the wooden woodpecker, this cult favourite comes to town in the form of an enchanting new show for kids of all ages.

You'll be able to take a trip back to the magical world of Emily's shop as it comes to life through storytelling, original songs and puppetry.

Created in 1974 by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin, who did most of their animation work with the legendary feline in Blean, this beautiful production of Bagpuss comes direct from a fantastic run at Soho Theatre, London last Christmas.

Tickets prices will range from £7 - £12 and can be booked on 01227 769075, or by going to www.thegulbenkian.co.uk.
